The E90/92 3-series kit was specifically designed to meet the needs of the BMW Performance enthusiast and racer. Brake bias is moved slightly to the rear for improved braking performance in both front-only and 4-wheel applications.

Overview

Front 4-piston, 4-pad calipers with 355mm x 32mm (14.6" x 1.25") pin-drive floating rotors, provided complete with stainless steel brake lines, Z-Rated street pads (track pad substitution available), and all necessary mounting hardware and brackets.  Front kit can be used by itself.

Rear 4-piston calipers with 371mm pin-drive floating rotors, provided with complete equipment as listed for front kit.

Calipers

The 4-piston Z31 caliper used on both the front and rear of the E90/92 kit is a Monobloc design, machined from a single piece of aluminum alloy billet (not a casting) for maximum strength from an FEA-created design that optimizes weight while keeping the caliper rigid. This unique caliper uses four pads per caliper - one per piston for an incredible bite and the ability to mix pad selection for mixed-use cars. Calipers are finished in your choice of color and include dust boots.

Why 4-piston instead of 6-piston? Performance Friction takes their top level racing technology and applies it to everything they design, and make every component that comes from their South Carolina manufacturing facility perform at the highest level possible. A 4-piston caliper, designed correctly, is lighter and has better release characteristics than a similar 6-piston piece. Brake torque (braking "power" is not a function of piston count, but of surface area measurements.

Calipers are finished in your choice of red, silver, or black.

Rotors

The Performance Friction rotors used in all kits are the newest V2 Direct Drive Rotors. Made from a precision casting, all external surfaces are machined to tolerances of 0.004", including the OD of the vein area that most manufacturers leave rough-cast. This is the only rotor that are mechanically, thermally, and dynamically balanced.  Going to these extreme measures ensures the rotor is balanced in real-world situations, accomodating actual heat and assembled stress.   New V2 hardware reduces weight an additional half pound from the already light V1 components.

PFC's unique pin-drive floating rotor design is the most advanced rebuildable floating rotor configuration available.

Complete Kit

All kits include Z-Rated PFC performance pads , all necessary brackets and hardware, and the required stainless brake line set.
